Last spring, I got to cross off one of my bucket list session locations: Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah and it was everything I dreamed of and more. I was lucky enough to go when they were partially flooded, so we got some amazing reflection photos, but we were still able to drive onto them and get far enough out that you could’t see anything for miles, which made it the perfect spot for some amazing drone photos!
Funny story: the Gemini in me fueled my curiosity, and I had so many questions about how the salt flats formed, why they were there, and I was beyond fascinated by the fact that you could drive onto them, and that people race.
The drive to the Salt Flats from Salt Lake City is long AF, so there are a few things you want to prepare for:
