If you’ve been following me for a while you know I’m allll about happily ever afters and fairytale endings, but if we’re being real, life sometimes doesn’t go as smoothly as a Disney movie. With the amount of logistics that go into your wedding day, the chances of something going wrong (whether it be big or small) are unfortunately high. As always the good news is that you’ll have me by your side through the planning process and during your big day so the chance of something going wrong is smaller. More good news, there’s also a few things you can be sure to throw in a bag and hand off to someone in your bridal party so you can prepare for a hiccup or two.
Here is how how create your very own wedding day emergency kit or, as I like to call it, the “Oh Sh*t Kit.” This is the bag that will come in handy on your wedding day if anything goes wrong. It includes everything from band aids to safety pins, from bobby pins to hair ties, and even aspirin for headaches.
Here are some items that should always be included in your emergency kit:
I know this all sounds like a ton of things, but you put so much work into planning your incredible day that you can’t be too prepared! You’re going to have a TON of other things to prepare for your wedding so I recommend having at least one person in your bridal party pack this kit for you, whether it be your mom or maid of honor or anyone else you trust to keep you calm when things get crazy. Then make sure they know where it is so they can grab it if they need to. Also remember even if something goes wrong, it’s not the end of the world. When you look back on your wedding day the small hiccups won’t matter because you’ll be married to your soulmate.
